Upon arrival, the essence of the design is a journey of discovery. The guest is guided along paths utilizing materials and methods of the past Incan societies. This creates a holistic experience of both old and new. These paths constantly connect the visitor to the site. Along the path one discovers a series of terraces and structures that function as vantage points and places of reflection. At other points along the path the view of the guest is either directed toward the next destination, or outward to the distant landscape. The final destination is that of the guest rooms, where the visitor feels isolated yet still connected to the landscape through an uninhibited view of the mountains and ruins beyond. |
